Care that understands the female body, at every stage of life

Whether you’re navigating hormonal changes, pregnancy, postpartum recovery, or the ongoing demands of daily life, our care evolves with you.

Life is full of change, and with it comes a quiet build-up of stress, responsibility, and feeling stretched too thin.

Your Initial Consultation is split into two parts:

Visit 1

Initial Consultation & Assessment

Your first visit takes up to 45 minutes and is about understanding you, and how daily demands may be affecting how your body feels and functions.

Before we meet, you’ll complete a short health questionnaire so we can begin understanding your story ahead of time.

During your visit we will:

  • Review your health history and concerns
  • Explore how this has been affecting daily life
  • Carry out a thorough assessment, including posture analysis, movement and neurological checks
  • Begin identifying patterns of stress, tension, and adaptation within the body

We look beyond where you feel discomfort and begin understanding what may be contributing to it.

Visit 2

Care Recommendations

Please allow 20-30 minutes for your second visit. We will guide you through your findings and discuss:

  • What we have found
  • How this may relate to how you have been feeling
  • Whether care may support you
  • Your personalised recommendations including things you can do to help yourself
  • Your next steps, should you choose to begin care.

If appropriate for you and care feels like the right fit, this visit may also include your first adjustment.

It is time to support you

We see the load you are carrying, whether it shows up in your body, your energy, your recovery, or simply your need for space to breathe.

At Soma, we work in partnership with your body. Listening carefully, adapting as you do, and supporting you in a way that feels right for this season of your life.

Respect for the female body

We believe the female body is not something to be corrected, but something to be understood.

Every stage of life brings change, and we honour those changes with care that listens, adapts and works in partnership with the body.

Frequently Asked Questions

Adjustments are specific and tailored to you and your care.

They involve carefully applied techniques to support movement and function in your spine and joints, helping your body adapt more comfortably to everyday demands.

Care may include manual adjustments alongside other techniques chosen to suit your needs and comfort, and we’ll always explain what we’re doing so you feel at ease.

Many people find adjustments comfortable and supportive.

If you are already in discomfort, some positions may feel a little sensitive, but care is always tailored to your comfort and we will progress gradually.

Each person is unique, and so is their care plan.

Recommendations will depend on your history, how your body has been responding to daily demands, and what you would like support with.

Care is built over a series of individual sessions, each guided by how your body responds. Care often works best when it is consistent, with each visit building on the last and supporting gradual change, greater comfort and resilience over time.

Yes, as your body begins to feel more settled and your initial goals are met, care often becomes part of a longer-term rhythm.

Many women choose to continue with ongoing support, helping them stay connected to their body and adapt to the changing demands of daily life. We’ll always discuss what feels appropriate for you.

Many women seek care not only because they are in discomfort, but because they want support with movement, tension and feeling more at ease in their body. We’ll always explore what feels right for you.

Yes, we welcome women throughout pregnancy and care is adapted to each stage.

Pregnancy places changing demands on the body, particularly through the spine and pelvis, and many women seek care to support comfort, movement and adapting to those changes. Our approach is personalised and always tailored to how you are feeling.

Yes, many women choose care during the postpartum period as they recover from pregnancy and birth, and adjust to the physical and emotional demands of early motherhood.

This can be a time of significant change, and care is always adapted to how you are doing, what support feels appropriate, and where you are in your recovery. Our approach is gentle, personalised and supportive.

We understand life can be unpredictable and plans sometimes change. If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, we kindly ask for as much notice as possible so we may offer that space to someone else waiting for care.

Appointments cancelled or rescheduled within 24 hours are charged at 50% of the appointment fee. Missed appointments without notice are charged in full.

If unexpected circumstances arise, please do get in touch, we are always happy to discuss individual situations.

Empowered

We believe when a woman feels well in her body, she moves through life differently.

Our role is to support that foundation so you can feel strong, capable and free to do what matters most to you.
